FALL 2011 Fall is here after an interesting Summer, at least here in Philly. Autumn is filled with holidays to distract us as well as another shot at the World Series for the Phillies. They made the playoffs. When we won a couple of years ago, there was complete chaos outside. I live in the downtown area and people traveled in from all over the region to celebrate. I enjoy being in the midst of celebrations like this, especially when it's something so notable. I'm not a big sports nut but I'm playing fantasy football for the third or fourth year now and this season the team I co-own has made a strong start. This issue brings lots of good reading, quite a few storiues, three book excerpts and our usually faulous columns.
If you're a Holmes fan, you might enjoy this collection which offers a twist on that whole universe.
Marco Fontana is still working his magic in Philly and he's loking forward to returning in further adventures. Set against the drama of a tough primary campaign, this mystery centers around a murdered masseur, several wealthy clients, a violent ex, and a number of city power brokers. Did he anger the wrong people as he went about building his business? Or was it an abusive ex boyfriend who could never give up? After discovering a body on Pine Street, more victims turn up which compels Marco to face down lethal players and place his life on the line to find the forces behind the murders.
